20240515 - J pre-B-Day
20240515 - Up in the am and to the desk. Shipped an ebay item and helped Erin with a data issue and then on calls pretty solid. Took Hazel on a walk, L home and Gma&paW came down with presents for J. J opened some of his gifts and then we went to Mr. Sushi for dinner, it was ok. Home and J opened the rest of his gifts and then L&I watched Survivor and Amazing Race. i was up late on my phone.

20230109 - Up in the am and I drove J&L to the oral surgeon. They took J back and in about no time came and got us. We went back and J was woozy and missing his wisdom teeth. He was a good patient and I asked for his teeth. We got him home and he was a bit goofy, he asked for vodka hahaha. We got him settled and I headed in to the office for the longest day ever. Finished work and LJ&I headed to the basement to watch the Georgia and TCU championship game. Hazel and I ran and picked up the pizza for the blow out. 
20220917
20220917 - Up got gas, washed car, got a sausage McMuffin, headed to Farm and got Gma&paW and on to Kent. Jack came down and got us and we carried the projector and other things we brought for him up to his room. He showed us around the room and showed us all his stuff and installed his projector. We then went to the place the Kent State Shootings happened and looked around. He then took us on a nice driving tour and showed us the buildings he goes to for classes. We ended up downtown at Ray's for a nice lunch. After lunch we went to the student center. J showed us his crash location on the way. GmaW took J in to the bookstore and got him some stuff. Back to the dorm and dropped J off. Nice visit, great to see him! We headed back to the Farm and I dropped off Gma&paW, got some fresh apples and other stuff and headed home. Home and and after a long day on the road was happy to sit and chat with L. She showed me some pics of G and the other boys and their Homecoming dates and then we watch the Buckeyes destroy Toledo. I stayed up late waiting for the boys to come home from the dance. They filled me in on the night and sounds like they had a good time.
20220501 - Pizza Party
20220501 - L up early and went to church. I got some things ordered from the grad party list and then G wanted to go to Trent's so he drove over. I headed back to the house and headed up to the boys bathroom to clean it up and re-caulk it. It turned in to a much bigger project than I anticipated and took FOREVER. L was outside with Hazel edging flow beds and pulling weeds and cleaning things up outside, looks great! I headed down and started working on the grape arbor, not a lot, just pulling the vines that went up in to the trees down. I ran to get G and we then stopped and picked up some pizzas. D&DGF13, J&JGF6 were there when we got back and we had a nice dinner on the patio. The boys threw the ball a bit and the girls discussed prom. It was a nice evening. Everyone headed out and L&I cleaned things up and watched American Idol while I did some Booster stuff.
20220401 - L's 51
20220401 - Up in the am and L was out to bfast with her friend Theresa. I couldn’t smell or taste my toothpaste this morning... J up late and decided today, the last day of his Spring Break that he would take everything out of his room and do a proper cleaning... I took a covid test and it was negative, at the desk all day and made plans with DJ and their girlfriends to have dinner hereat the house because L being still a bit sick didn't feel like going anywhere. I finished up the day and L&I ran up to Olive Garden to pick up a feast. Home and DJ and their girls showed up and we sat down and hid a nice dinner. After dinner we all headed to the basement and watched J&JGF6 play a funny little team game on the Xbox and L and DGF13 worked on a puzzle L started at Christmas. It was a very enjoyable evening.
20220209 - Bucket 2
20220209 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. I got my day rolling. D stopped and got the insurance and HSA cards and headed to the eye Dr. J left shortly after. D&J back. D’s eyes got worse and needs new contacts. J’s eyes are perfect. L ran me to the eye Dr. So I could get checked out and then went to pick G up from school. My exam went fine and my eyes haven’t changed in the last year. But I am getting some computer glasses! Out of my exam and L&G there waiting their turn. The hair cut place didn’t have a wait so I ran down and got a quick trim. Back to the eye Dr. And I’m to the exam room with G and asking the Dr. if G’s eyes are the reason he can’t hit a baseball ;-) G’s eyes are perfect. L’s eyes are ok, she just needs readers for up close stuff. Everyone home and L ran G to baseball. L made dinner and J and JGF6 joined us. It was a nice dinner and then J and JGF6 went out and hung a sap bucket before vanishing the rest of the night. L went tot pick G up and I took the white car to get gas. I then met them at TUFFY where we left the silver car to get serviced tomorrow. Home and watched some Olympics until late.
20220104 - 2 Positive
20210114 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. I got on the pc and got my day started. L called and said G texted her from school, thinks he has a fever. I texted him and told him to tough it out if he could, but go to the clinic if he couldn't. A couple hrs later I had to run and get him from school, he had a fever of 102.3 Hazel and I got him home, medicated and to bed. I got some more work done and took hazel on a walk. Back to the desk. J home, L home and gave G a COVID test and he tested positive... We had some leftovers for dinner and then L&I headed to the basement to watch Yellowstone while L looked for testing locations for the rest of us. J got a test from JGF6 and he tested positive.. L searching for test sites like crazy and I texted some friends and found a test. hazel and I jumped in the car and drove to Worthington with a stop to get gas and drop off a package at the post office before swinging by CBs to pick up the test. home and L took the test and it was negative... I headed in to the basement to watch a movie and update the blog with pics in aug, sept and oct of last yr...
20220102 - 1st Drive
20220102 - Up in the am, L feeling a bit better and JG&I gave up waiting on D to sow up to go to the Farm with us. We were already leaving late with J's primping. We stopped at Goodwill to drop some stuff off and we broke the glass in GpaW's gift.. Back home to swap out the glass and it wasn't broken, so on the road at last... JG&I headed up. It was s good trip and I pulled in where the old school house used to be and made G drive. he was very nervous... G did ok driving and we made it to the Farm and GmaW had a bunch of food ready for us. We ate and got GmaW's new Google Hub set up and the pics started rolling across it. We headed in to the living room and opened our gifts. Everyone got some good stuff and GpaW liked the 1869 map we got him of Mifflin Township. We packed up L&Ds gifts and J drove us home. Home and unpacked everything and L and Hazel got back from their walk and L opened her stuff and liked all of it. J&G gave a report to L of the visit and gifts they got. Boys headed up and L&I watched some football and relaxed missing the Winger Christmas party at John and Mary's :-( Lonie was in the area and he stopped by to pick up his presents from GmaW. J lost something for his Xbox which somehow led to me in the basement sorting through our tub of Nerf guns. L&I watched football and whatever else was on TV while we got other little things done here and there. To bed not to late, but up to late on the PC.
20211225 + Christmas
20211225 + Up in the am got showered and had on of the cinnamon rolls L made all before the boys got up. This is way different than years past... L got the boys up and we gathered to open presents. We took turns and even Hazel used her paws and opened her presents carefully removing the paper and retrieving her toys. The boys got things they needed and liked, L got a new phone and I got 4 OSU hats. After the openings D&G worked on their Legos and J went upstairs and put his new bed together, L got the house ready for guests. Lonie showed up and then Gma&paW, JGF? and the Coles. We had a nice lunch and then headed to the basement to open some more gifts and play a game that had everyone laughing. Out guests left and we cleaned up a bit. J headed to JGF?'s, G up to the Xbox and LD&I watched the new Matrix in the basement. Praise God for such a very nice day.
20211213 - Swab and 50th Bday
20211213 - Up in the am and in to the office a bit before heading to the school to get G and take him to his orthodontist appointment. It was a quick visit and we had some discussion with the Dr about getting braces off, but G needs to actually wear his rubber bands so things get where they are supposed to go... Dropped G back off at school and headed home, phone was blowing up the whole time I was on the road, still having massive connection issues at work... Back to the desk for a bit, overwhelmed with the things that have to get fixed/done. Took Hazel on a walk and was on the phone the whole time. Back to the desk, J home, L home and we got notifications from the school that J was in close proximity to someone that has tested positive for COVID so L ran all over town to find him a test. L home with the test but our home internet was down... I got that working and J got online with a nurse and took his test, it was negative. L&I packed some stuff up and headed to Sunbury for her friend Steph's 50th bday dinner. It was a good time and a nice distraction. After we ate L drove us to the office in Worthington so I could set my laptop up so they could access it and and use it for testing tomorrow. Home and L&G took out the trash and J is home tonight playing on the Xbox with G. L did a late night bathroom cleaning and relaxed a bit.

20211205 - Dribble and Sing
20211205 - Up and L ran to pick up G and Andrew. I got around and we headed to G's basketball game. I was feeling a bit numb and dizzy. G's team did good and won, bunch of goof balls. Home and I rested the majority of the day. L went to the high school to watch J's Christmas concert and met Gma&paB&W there. D showed up with DGF13 and they took G to baseball practice. I took Hazel on a short walk. I relaxed some more and then L and Gma&paW came home. I helped GmaW with some things on her iPad and then G called thinking we were going to pick him up. We all left in a hurry and L&I ran to get G. Home and LG&I ate and then G headed upstairs and L&I watched some TV and relaxed a bit more.
20211203 - Panic Attack
20211203 - Really bad day at work, was only supposed to work a half day, but things went wrong and I think I had a panic attack, in fact I now think that is what happened last July... Didn't end up going to the wedding, but felt better not going... Rested the rest of the day and evening. J brought home a baby from school he has to watch over the weekend and take care of. J&JGF6 stopped by with her new puppy Otis to meet Hazel.
20211128 + Tree Decorators
20211128 + Up late and worked on the light in my office and cleaned out the closet a bit. L got out the Christmas tree and started setting it up. I headed out and put some lights on the bushes, G helped a bit. We left the lights on the house all year and miraculously they all worked! Gma&paW stopped by for a quick visit. I headed out to the shed and worked on the Christmas lights on the playset with Hazel's help and threw the ball a million times. L made some hamburgers and I grilled them. In a LJG&I had dinner. Then the boys put some ornaments on the tree before J left and G went up to his Xbox. I got on my PC and tested the mic that Lonie got me and then spent the rest of the evening looking at auctions and setting up a crypto meeting for Wednesday. Up too late, mind racing.
20211125 + Thanksgiving
20211125 + Up early and L, Hazel and I headed out. We swung by the mailbox to see if some stuff I shipped was stuck in the chute, it wasn’t. We swung through McDs and headed to the Farm. It was an easy drive up and we got there in good time. L helped GmaW get things set up and I took Hazel up to Gma&paW’s. The boys showed up and I headed down and more and more folks showed up. It was nice to be back in the old Farmhouse with all the family after missing last year with the lockdown. It was nice to catch-up with folks. Roger prayed and we we had a very nice meal.
After our food settled a bit I went up and got Hazel and a group of us headed to the Falls. We walked all the way up and L&I’s first house was gone, so was Oneida lodge, but my bridges still are there. The trail down to the falls is in really bad shape and treacherous. We went down to the falls and then back up, not out and around to the pines as the trail was not passable. We made our way back to the Farmhouse and hung out some more. LD&G worked on crafts, J vanished to Gma&paW’s while we were on out falls walk. We caught up some more and folks started heading out. D stayed to help clean up and Them he headed out. He is driving to Ann Arbor MI for the OSU game tomorrow… We got some things cleaned up and headed up. JG&I played some euchre with GmaW and then J headed back to the bedroom. G&I stayed up and played 3 way solitaire with GmaW, a new game for G. Everyone to bed and G&I stayed up with Gpaw showing him how to use the TV and review his health. J up late having a rough night.
20211114 + Protector
20211114 + Up late and for a couple things done. L ran to pick G up and I got some things done in the garage. J up in his room still holding on to his fever. G came down and played outside with Hazel a bit and then helped me get the handpump out of the yard and TV off the back porch. After that it was sort of a lazy day. L cooked a chicken and I tried to get caught up on some paperwork. We watched football and then a couple movies and eventually everyone went to bed and I stayed up on med duty with J taking him pills every 3 hours until very late, so L could sleep.
20211031 - Hard Farm J Pics
20211031 + Up in the am and headed over to Penn's to run some more cables. Then ran over to the auction house in Reynoldsburg to pick up some auction wins from Gary that I haven't seen really all summer. We caught up a bit and I headed home. Home and changed fast and LJG Hazel and I headed up to the Farm to get some senior pics for J. We got there in good time and it was a brisk but beautiful day. J wasn't thrilled but participated. G helped take pics and ran with Hazel a lot. we got the 4 wheeler out and they boys took some rides. We had some time to chat with Gma&paW and then headed home. Up late watching TV and buying crypto.
20211027 - Kent State
20211027 - Up in the am and LJ&G at school. I got around for my morning call and the day went it's own direction from there. Hazel and I took a walk and then back to the desk. L&J headed to Kent for a college visit. I ran to pick G up from school and then the Bowman brothers picked him up to go to his first high school baseball practice. I finished my day and threw the ball to hazel for a bit. L&J home and L blah blah blah about the Kent St. visit. I headed to the high school, returned the hot dog and nacho machines and then in to the library to host a Team App training for the Boosters. Home and checked in with G on how practice went. He had a good time and said the coaches asked 'Hey kid, what's your name?'. He told them and they were like OMG you're little wings? hahaha it's been 2 years since they've seen him and he's so much bigger. I texted with them coaches and they confirmed they didn't recognize him and that he did really good. Not up too late.
20211024 + XC & Football
20211024 + Up late and it's clean up day. We got a bunch of cleanup done last night so now it is just putting things back where they go, cleaning serving stuff and getting back to normal. L headed out to watch Sam run in the 8th grade state xc meet and it was raining hard. I just milled around in the garage, took my time and cleaned and cleaned the day away. L home, soaked, I ran G to basketball at the high school. Home and picked up some supplies and headed over to the Mallonn's. We looked at options to rearrange their home network while they had a bunch of walls ripped open for the kitchen remodel. L ran and picked G up from practice and I got home shortly after. We had some dinner and watched some TV and relaxed the rest of the evening.
